[hylafax-users] "invalid dialing command" (was) First time questions

Fixing incorrect inittab seems to have hylfax aware of modem on ttyS0. Other client access issues remain unsolved.

However "FAX-ing" from the built in SUse KDE faxprint, a job gets accepted and can see modem activty, including the "FAX" led on briefly. But, then, sadness, overwhelming grief. And no FAX goes out, either.

These messages are seen in the system messages log:

"May 15 14:37:48 linux FaxSend[4608]: SEND FAX: JOB 5 DEST 6879595 COMMID 000000027 DEVICE '/dev/ttyS0' FROM 'root <root@xxxxxxxxxx>' USER root

May 15 14:37:50 linux FaxSend[4608]: SEND FAILED: JOB 5 DEST 6879595 ERR Invalid dialing command

May 15 14:38:16 linux FaxGetty[4519]: MODEM ROCKWELL MultiModemZDX/V2.400B-V90_2M_DLS"

This modem is flashed to the latest firmware on the Multitech site.

Anyone know this problem?

I will be building a 4 port system, for a client, but need to test out and get familiar, first.
