[hylafax-users] hylafax doesn't accept pdfs

Got a machine running that picks up mail from a pop3, parses it for 
recipient and/or user data and delivers it to a script that basically 
calls 'open (MAIL, "|/usr/bin/faxmail -v -n -d $faxno2 > /tmp/faxjob$$ 
2>&1") || die print "Can't open /usr/bin/faxmail -n -d $faxno!\n";'

Despite everything put into place that is mentioned in 
http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/howto/misc/faxmail-mimeconverters.php 
hylafax still doesn't accept pdf files but writes this to /var/log/syslog:

No fax is sent and nothing added to any logs in /var/spool/hylafax/log/

For all I know only the last few lines are of interest; somehow the -v 
option of faxmail doesn't seem to be invoked or doesn't call the 
modifications that were made according to the MIME-howto mentioned above.

If I need to provide any more information please let me know.
