[hylafax-users] voice and fax (sending only) on the same line

We've had our office server with hylafax running great for 2 years now.
On another line, we have VOCP (TAM and voice messaging system), so we
have a vgetty entry on inittab for the VOCP, so when some one calls,
VOCP runs. We need to use that same voice line to send some faxes daily
(because of better intl. rates on that line), and we have configured
hylafax to use the voice line to send faxes as well. It works ok, but:

1.- If someone is talking on that same voice line hylafax will ignore it
and will try to send the fax (carrier detection not working???)

2.- faxstat on that modem is always "Waiting for modem to come ready",
probably due to the fact that vgetty is blocking access to the line, yet
faxes can be sent.

3.- After sending a fax, the first incoming voice call will be ignored
by vgetty, so the messaging system won't run until the following call.

I'm not an expert on this issues, and maybe my approach for having both
a voice mesaging system and a hylafax system on the same line is wrong,
but can someone help me with these?
