Because the Diva Server works as a type of "fax proxy" there are two 
communication channels, one going on between the Diva Server and the 
remote fax device, and another (nearly independent) going on between the 
Diva Server and HylaFAX.

You can make adjustments in HylaFAX to limit the communication rate 
between HylaFAX and the Diva Server, but that may not have any bearing 
on the communication rate between the Diva Server and the remote fax 
device, which is probably what you want to do.  In order to adjust the 
communication rate that occurs between the Diva Server and the remote 
you'll need to look into the Diva control utilities that come with the 
Diva Server ttyds driver.

I believe that Eicon recommends Class 2.  And, since the Diva Server 
works as a proxy-of-sorts the advantages of Class 1 over Class 2 are 
lost anyway, so it's probably best to run them as Eicon recommends and 
as most other Diva Server users run them.

The config/eicon-2 prototype should work well for you.  Most tweaking 
will need to be done in the Diva control utilities.
