On the surface this seems to indicate that something's wrong with the modem, but honestly I find it difficult to believe that a sender will initially attempt to negotiate V.27ter 2400 bps connection rather than something much faster.


I'd like to see the rest of the log, preferrably without masking out the HDLC frames, too. I suspect that something is mis-parsing the DCS signal.
