Re: [hylafax-users] Problem with hylafax
Hi Andi,
If you have a look through the archives you will find that the best advice
in this situation is to get yourself a decent modem.....

Subject: [hylafax-users] Problem with hylafax

Hi there,
I have a problem with Hylafax and - surprise surprise - an USR Sportster 56K
FAX Modem. Sending is no problem and works fine, but receiving is the big
problem:
I get also the "T.30 T2 timeout, expected signal not received" error.
I checked google about that and there was a note in the mailinglist, that
trying the new version 4.2.3 should be done first. However, I build the
sources and installed it. Works also fine for sending, but not for
receiving.
I run Hylafax on a FreeBSD 5.4 with this crappy Sportster. I tried Classes 1
with xonxoff with rctcts and Class 2. With Class 2, the handshake fails.
With Class 1, handshake works fine, but after 1 or 6 pages, I got the error.
Even not the whole page 1 is transmitted properly.
Can anyone help me with this problem? That's would be nice!
Here one log file for Class1 rtscts, which seems to be the best setting.
