[hylafax-users] Spooler performance
Hello All,
We use hylafax for big fax batches, however we experience a
performance problems with faxq spooler when concurrent jobs amount is
more than 3000. The faxq CPU time usage growing is not linear,
meaning that with 1000 jobs the load is ~5%, with 2000 jobs it's
like 10% and with 3000 jobs average CPU usage is ~50%.
The configuration is the following:
Hylafax 4.2.2 release
Linux Slackware 10.0.1
RaiserFS
P4 2.8
1G RAM
2x80 Gb 7200 IDE HDDs (software LVM RAID1)
So, my question is:
- Is there a way of fixing this?
- Does any tuning of hylafax spooler possible? (like increasing
queue check time to more than 1 second, file system optimization,
etc) I checked sources and not found anything tunable.
Sorry for my poor English.
That's all,
thank's for your time.
