Ok, I was able to get it to start by adding manually the uucp user in 
both /etc/master.passwd and /etc/passwd

Now, I'm able to send a job, but it timeout :

Where can I find the cause of the errors ?  Since it's a internal 
modem, I can't see any physical status :-)
