Downloaded, compiled and installed 4.2.2 over 4.2.1-23 yesterday. Everything went okay, the compile and install gave no error messages. The configuration files from 4.2.1 were left intact and so I assume they will work just as well with 4.2.2 - using CNet 56K external fax/modem (HylaFAX id's it as a Rockwell chip set I believe). Set up as class 1 under 4.2.1-23 and now 4.2.2 Used for the first time today. Impressions: Very good. Works smoothly. 4.2.1-23 used to take approximately 1 minute to recognize that the modem was ready after logging off kppp or sending a fax with HylaFAX. 4.2.2 seems to come ready much faster. Everybody on the development team and testers are to be commended.
