Since this box is only going to be used for hylafax it's easy to just dump everything and restart with a fresh OS each time. The last run through I was able to get the machine on the network, so I have that part worked out. But like an idiot I did the RPM install and the faxaddmodem routine wouldn't find my modem that time around. I'm reinstalling the OS and will start again from source and see if I can get everything back up to the test fax again. As for reading the installation docs. I did go through them step by step on the first run, however they assume everything else is working. :) Looks like I'm on my own here until I get that test fax working again. -----Original Message----- From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jeff Schulze Sent: Monday, September 12, 2005 5:37 PM To: hylafax-users@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [hylafax-users] Hylafax Server and Client config James; that is a long, long, long email your asking for. I was pretty much where you are, and found the best course of action to be takeing a good hard look at the Hylafax installation documentation on Hylafax.org. You can ask specific questions here, but not sure anyone can help you with that entire process without hireing them. :) (Ask Lee about that though.) As for it not showing up on a windows network, you may take a look at your Samba configuration; as that is pretty much where Linux and windows meet. Good luck! Jeff S. Network Admin Luna Piena, Inc.
