Re: [hylafax-users] Hylafax Server and Client config

James; that is a long, long, long email your asking for. I was pretty much where you are, and found the best course of action to be takeing a good hard look at the Hylafax installation documentation on Hylafax.org. You can ask specific questions here, but not sure anyone can help you with that entire process without hireing them. :) (Ask Lee about that though.) As for it not showing up on a windows network, you may take a look at your Samba configuration; as that is pretty much where Linux and windows meet.

Good luck!

First off, although I'm not new to Linux, I probably would be considered a
neophyte by many, so please excuse my ignorance.

I have installed CentOS 4.0 and Hylafax and can get the Hylafax box to send
a test fax from the command line. My problem lies in two areas. First, I
cannot get the hylafax box to display consistently on the network. I was
able to get it in the display for a brief period, but I think that in an
attempt to get other things working I messed it up.

So, step by step could someone help me get the box up and have the modem
shared for a windows client?

Thanks so much in advance.

James
