Yes the builds were both done from source tarball
without any special flags (./configure, make, make
install, faxsetup)

I applied the same patches to the 4.2.2 faxrcvd I used
in the 4.2.1 version.  Could the 'shift' in the new
version of the script be at fault? I.e., the 4.2.1
line is:
 FILE="$1"
 etc.
The 4.2.2 line is:
 FILE="$1"; shift;
 etc.
