Still trying to get HylaFAX working. Decided to rename /var/spool/hylafax and reinstall and rerun faxsetup. Reinstalled ran: su -c /usr/local/sbin/faxsetup and got the following output during the setup: . . . Restarting HylaFAX server processes. You have a HylaFAX scheduler process running. faxq will be restarted shortly, as soon as some other work has been completed. Can I terminate this faxq process (4260) [yes]? Warning: faxq is still running for some reason! Something is hung, faxq did not terminate in response to the faxquit command. There do not appear to be any faxsend or pagesend subprocesses actively handling outbound jobs so the reason for it running is unknown. Should we continue to wait [no]? FATAL ERROR: Old server processes still running! One or more old server processes are still running. It is not wise to start new server processes while old processes are running because their actions might conflict. You need to terminate the existing processes and rerun this script or manually startup the new HylaFAX server processes. So, faxq seems to have hung and is not responding to anything. Could this be the center of the problems with HylaFAX??? How do I get faxq unhung? Tried: su -c /usr/local/sbion/faxquit and got the following output: FIFO: open: No such device or address Does any of that make any sense to somebody??
