Re: [hylafax-users] Faxgetty not installed.

Okay, it would appear that one problem is that the modem modules are not being inserted into the kernel. The modem will not respond untill I manually issue the 'insmod' command. Perhaps Faxgetty is confused by the fact it can not initiallize the modem on startup becuse of this. I am looking now on how to have the modules inserted at startup like they should be. (I am still not sure I stopped Faxgetty; it doesn't say in the man anything other than the -d arguement.. I don't think that stops the process though.. the help for ps also shows no way to stop a process, only look at them. Again, I am very new to Linux for all intents and purposes, (even though I've had it on several systems for 2 years now) so appologies!

I am still having some problems. I've looked everywhere and am unable to find Faxgetty in any of the process lists. I am probably looking in the wrong place..

ps -e | grep faxgetty

the Hylafax manual doesn't say much about faxgetty,

man faxgetty
