I am using HylaFax v4.1.8 and 4.2.1 on RedHat 9. Modems are internal PCI Winmodems: two U.S. Robotics 56K PCI Faxmodem: USR5660A two Hayes Accura PCI Softmodem Both use driver: 6.03.00lnxt04011900full from Linuxant.com Two systems are just in production a few days. Total faxes are about 400 a day. The problem is that modems are wedged all the time. Now reboot will recovered it: Mar 18 14:22:34 pcsfax2 FaxSend[3336]: Unable to setup modem on /dev/ttySHSF0; giving up after 2 attempts Mar 18 14:22:34 pcsfax2 FaxQueuer[3039]: MODEM /dev/ttySHSF0 appears to be wedged Mar 18 14:22:34 pcsfax2 FaxQueuer[3039]: MODEM WEDGED: bin/wedged "ttySHSF0" "/dev/ttySHSF0" [root@pcsfax2 root]# cu -l /dev/ttySHSF0 cu: /dev/ttySHSF0: Line in use Is there any way to recover without reboot ? Or I need to use other modems ?
