Lee I have opened up a case regarding this with Multitech. What would be the best way to disable V.17 until things get cleared up with Multitech? If our testing is correct, then you won't be able to *send* faxes with V.17. So, you could disable V.17 altogether in your Class 1 sending config if you wanted, but then you would limit your non-V.34 fax sessions to 9600 baud.
