Trying to fax over VoIP is simply a bad idea.  The only way you'll even 
get consistent results is due to ECM protocol support on both ends 
fixing up the inevitable data corruption that VoIP will cause... and 
this will make the faxes take noticeably longer.  For example, in this 
case it took nearly three times as long.
