I was on this list ages ago, and have recently rejoined. I set up hylafax on my laptop, which will not ultimately be my fax server, but it is conveniently here and has a modem. I ran the setup programs and started the service, I have also rebooted. The output of faxstat is simply: nick@ibm nick $ faxstat HylaFAX scheduler on ibm.rout.co.nz: Running I do not have hylafax listening on a getty, as i am interested solely in sending at present. However should I have a line like: Modem ttySx (000-123-4567): Running and idle or is this only if I have a getty? My reference for expecting such a line is: http://www.hylafax.org/howto/using.php -- Nick Rout <nick@xxxxxxxxxx> ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
