Re: [hylafax-users] Sending multiple pages from different applications to ONE faxnumber

All,
Every so often people need to send documents of
DIFFERENT formats to ONE fax number, eg:
* cover page from WordPro (yes we are using SmartSuite!)
* a couple of different PDF's
* a 1-2-3 spreadsheet
* some other blah.
I know this IS possible by printing each and everyone of
them to PDF, use Adobe Acrobat Editor, combine them
and print them to "Winprint HylaFAX".
It wouldn't even be *that* hard. Just print each one to PDF, except
the first, which you print to a printable-fax client that allows
attachments. Then you attach all of the PDFs and send it. The only
difference between this and what you are familiar with is the manual
attaching part.
If you had (if there were) a client that allowed you to send multiple
files this way (automaticaly attaching them), then it would work, but
as of yet no client that I know of does this. It could, though, most
authors of the various HylaFAX clients are available for hire to
enhance their product - some of it's even open-source, and you could
hire your favorite hacker to do it.
I used to have a FaxServer running on one of our Windows Servers
(I am going samba .. ) which had an option to wait before
and add more documents.
Is this possible using Halifax and any of the combination
of Windows clients?
Possible, but not yet available, as I said.
Now, if you're talking about sending a few pages with fine resolution
formatting and a few pages with some other resolution, then that's a
different thing, but I don't think that you're talking about that.
