[hylafax-users] receieved faxs .tif file corrupt

Hi

Im having trouble with recieved faxes

i can send faxs no problem, but the .tif files of recieved faxs are
corrupt
no viewer i can find can read them

If i try to convert them to ps using tiff2ps or fax2ps, i get errors like:

Fax3Decode2D: fax00013.tif: Bad code word at scanline 0 (x 89).
Fax3Decode2D: fax00013.tif: Uncompressed data (not supported) at scanline 0 (x 0).
Fax3Decode2D: Warning, fax00013.tif: Premature EOL at scanline 0 (got 89, expected 1728).

setup:
HylaFAX v4.1.8 under SunCobalt Qube3 Linux server based on RedHat 6.2 with
SunCobalt modified 2.2.16 linux kernel  with gcc 2.95.3 and libtiff 3.6.1
hylafax and libtiff are compiled from source
Modem: external
Product code (ATI0) is "TP560 Data/Fax/Voice 56K Modem".
Other information (ATI3) is "TP560 Data/Fax/Voice 56K Modem".

some history:

ive been running hylafax 4.1.5 with no problem for a since it came out on
this
server, until the hard drive crashed last week
after replacing the hard drive, i set up 4.1.8.  did something change
between 4.1.5 and 4.1.8 that would cause this problem?

i didn't include the recieve log since it's so long, but i dont see any
obvious errors in it
