Hey,
I installed HylaFAX 4.1.5-190 on a Suse Linux Professional 8.2 System with Kernel 2.4.20. My modem identifies itself with CL-MD56xx.
Sending a fax from OpenOffice functions very well. Receiving a fax from the same station fails always with "Failure to receive silence.".
Here is my modem configuration file:
