You probably mean Class 2.0 or Class 2.1, right?

and I've had great success with it. However one problem seems to have cropped up; the second time dialing a host Hylafax tried to send the fax in 2D-MMR. So far each time it has tried to fax a document in 2D-MMR it has failed. After changing the info file to disable MMR faxes to that host the faxes work fine. The error I get when trying to send a fax at 2D-MMR is "No response to MPS repeated 3 times".

Have you updated the firmware on the modem? Some of the older (pre-1.28) firmwares for the MT5634s had problems with MMR.

Unless someone can tell me how to get 2D-MMR to work properly (I do have the logs at 0xFFF), I'm trying to find a setting to force outgoing faxes to not use 2D-MMR. I see the "RecvDataFormat" but nothing for sending.

Take a look at your modem config file and set ModemDialCmd to be AT+FCC=,,,,1;DT%s or something similar. An example is in the config.
