Ok, This is what happened so far, trying to get a rocketmodem to work onIf you give lspci the '-v' flag it will tell you what IRQ the device is on. I haven't used a rocketmodem, but I can give some other general help. Usually for pci cards the OS will handle the IRQ's, so you don't have to do anything. You could try adding the irq flag to modprobe.
Red Hat Enterprise Server 3. I found out that more or less i need
rocket.o loaded. So I first tried using redhat's stock installed kernel
but it didnt have the rocket module. So then I downloaded the
unsupported kernel modules package from redhat, and when i 'modprobe
rocket' i get "No rocketport ports found; unloading driver." with some
other info saying Hint: insmod errors can be caused by an incorrect
module parameters, inclusing invalid IO or IRQ parameters. The modem does show up in lspci as "00:09.0 Communication controller:
Comtrol Corporation Unknown device 000d (rev 01)" i believe it is on IRQ
10. Can anyone help me getting this to work?
