Well, it depends on how you installed it.

If you installed it from source you...

cd /usr/src/hylafax
patch -p1 < patch.file

If you installed it from RPM you must grab the SRPM, install that, copy 
the patch file to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/, edit 
/usr/src/redhat/SPECS/hylafax.spec to include...

Patch1: patch.file
