The first problem is that this Cirrus Logic chipset is trying to 
masquerade as a Rockwell/Conexant with that ATI0 response.

It should probably use the config/cirrus config file, and it appears 
that it doesn't support +FRS (although it does support +FTS).  Are 
there others listening who use the Cirrus Logic chipsets?  Do all 
Cirrus Logic chipsets not support +FRS?  In other words, do we need to 
add that to the config/cirrus config file template, or do we need to 
write a new config file template for the CL-MD56xx series?

I have a CL-MT34xx somewhere...
