[hylafax-users] Fax-to-Email Gateway

Now I decided to set this up fully.
I went through all the documentation, and archive, but there seems to be
no complete document, rather partially contradictory advises.

Here is what I did so far:
http://www.hylafax.org/howto/clients/sendmail-faxmail-mangling.php
and all the rest, like sendmail restart, etc.
Immediately I could issue

mail root@987654321.fax

successfully as far as dialling is concerned.

But from another machine on the network I get
/home/username/dead.letter... Saved message in /home/username/dead.letter
for the same command to not much of a surprise. How should the MTA on
that machine know where .fax is ?
There are other docs:
http://www.hylafax.org/howto/clients/faxmail-nonrandom-host.php
which I don't really understand. What to add to config.mc ?
How would mangling the sendmail on server translate to name resolution
for client ? I guessed, we'd need some mangling of named instead.
If it works, I won't complain, though. What I don't like and have no
idea about is that direct mangling. An addition to .mc and subsequent
recompilation is much preferred by myself.

Then there is another doc:
http://www.hylafax.org/howto/clients/mailfax
This seems somehow to contradict the first one
(using faxmail versus mailfax).
Which one should I follow; which is better / newer ?

Thanks for any hint,

Uwe
