Hello,
Hylafax (version 4.1.3) functions very well on my
server and the modems are in class 2.0
but however from time to time some remote fax
cannot connected
and in the file log (/var/log/messages)
the message is as follows
"unspecified Phase C error, including too much
delay between TCF and +FDR command"
and in log of Hylafax the message is
Jun 05 13:48:33.72: [17177]: RECV: begin page
Jun 05 13:48:33.72: [17177]: RECV: send trigger 022

this log is continuation renegotiation speed length of page etc...
I consulted a technical document on the fax modem (PROGRAMER' S
TECHNICAL REFERENCE DATA AND FAX COMMUNICATION of ROBERT L HUMMEL)
it is known as +FPS the Answer is sent from the fax modem
to the DCE at the end of phase C data reception to report the status of page
transfer
Application SP-2388-B Class 2.0
I tested an identical modem (U.S.ROBOTICS 56k FAXMODEM) with probemodem
class 2.0 in response of AT+FPS=? of them it answers (1-5) and AT+FPS? 1
(default) that seems to correspond to +FPTS command class 1 whereas AT+FPS
is ppr, lc, blc, cblc, lbc
according to the man of hylafax-config
the Class2PTSCmd command in Class 2 is +FPTS and CLass2PTSCmd command in
Class 2.0 is +FPS
the Class2PTSCmd command is by default +FPS
Question: Does Hylafax use which Command? I think that it is
Class 2.0
is what the modem returns the good response to the test
I acknowledge that I do not understand?
somebody can it help me
Yves
