[hylafax-users] 4.1.6 faxmodem fails

Hi All,

Today I downloaded, compiled, and installed the 4.1.6 CVS source.  The
'faxmodem modem' command refuses to add the modem... not even an error
message is given.  'faxstat' never shows a modem, just 'HylaFAX scheduler on
backup: Running'  I tried this on a redhat 8 box, and later on a different
box with a fresh install of redhat 9.  'faxaddmodem modem' detects and
configures the modem just fine -- 'probemodem modem' also works as expected.

'faxmodem modem' works fine after I re-installed 4.1.5 (and also worked
before I installed 4.1.6)

Any Ideas?
