Since hylafax version 4.1.3 the spooldir moved to /var/spool/hylafax.
Did you upgrade your SuSE installation which resulted in both path
beeing there?
Check the hylafax version information in both trees.

Did you try to move config.faxCAPI to the new spooldir?
Don't forget to change the paths in there.

This depends on your phone installation. Blank is OK if outgoing calls
are not rejected without presenting a valid MSN.

Should be capi4hylafax!

I use SuSe 8.0 and the release shipped with this version works fine.
I didn't try 8.2 yet.
To my mind your errors deal with c4l/c4h. May be you uninstall the
SuSE-releases and install the versions provided by AVM.
I suggest checking c4l with capitools (capiconn...) to check if basic
CAPI functions work (incoming and outgoing connections). If this is OK
proceed with c4h.
