I have been running Hylafax on Redhat for a little while now. I recently went through and upgraded from redhat 7 to redhat 9 and installed the latest version of Hylafax. Now I can't receive faxes, here is a typical log May 12 22:25:01.39: [13798]: SESSION BEGIN 00000019 19499494818958 May 12 22:25:01.40: [13798]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.1.5 May 12 22:25:01.40: [13798]: <-- [4:ATA\r] May 12 22:25:13.50: [13798]: --> [5:+FCON] May 12 22:25:13.50: [13798]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/usb/ttyACM0' May 12 22:25:13.50: [13798]: RECV FAX: begin May 12 22:25:13.51: [13798]: --> [28:+FTSI:" 481 8958"] May 12 22:25:13.51: [13798]: REMOTE TSI "" May 12 22:25:13.86: [13798]: --> [21:+FDCS:1,5,0,2,1,0,0,0] May 12 22:25:13.86: [13798]: REMOTE wants 14400 bit/s May 12 22:25:13.86: [13798]: REMOTE wants page width 1728 pixels in 215 mm May 12 22:25:13.86: [13798]: REMOTE wants unlimited page length May 12 22:25:13.86: [13798]: REMOTE wants 7.7 line/mm May 12 22:25:13.86: [13798]: REMOTE wants 2-D MR May 12 22:25:13.86: [13798]: --> [2:OK] May 12 22:25:13.87: [13798]: <-- [7:AT+FDR\r] May 12 22:25:18.13: [13798]: --> [5:+FCFR] May 12 22:25:19.47: [13798]: --> [7:CONNECT] May 12 22:25:19.47: [13798]: RECV: begin page May 12 22:25:19.47: [13798]: RECV: send trigger 021 May 12 22:25:19.47: [13798]: <-- data [1] May 12 22:25:39.97: [13798]: RECV: 967 total lines, 327 bad lines, 13 consecutive bad lines May 12 22:25:39.98: [13798]: --> [16:+FPTS:1,2177,0,0] May 12 22:25:41.33: [13798]: --> [6:+FET:2] May 12 22:25:41.33: [13798]: RECV recv EOP (no more pages or documents) May 12 22:25:41.33: [13798]: --> [2:OK] May 12 22:25:41.33: [13798]: RECV: REJECT page quality, 66% good lines (95% required) May 12 22:25:41.33: [13798]: RECV send RTN (retrain negative) May 12 22:25:41.33: [13798]: <-- [10:AT+FPTS=2\r] May 12 22:25:41.43: [13798]: --> [2:OK] May 12 22:25:41.43: [13798]: <-- [7:AT+FDR\r] May 12 22:25:44.23: [13798]: --> [7:+FHNG:0] May 12 22:25:44.23: [13798]: REMOTE HANGUP: Normal and proper end of connection (code 0) May 12 22:25:44.24: [13798]: RECV FAX (00000019): recvq/fax00010.tif from 481 8958, route to <unspecified>, 0 pages in 0:31 May 12 22:25:44.24: [13798]: RECV FAX: Normal and proper end of connection May 12 22:25:44.24: [13798]: RECV FAX (00000019): session with 481 8958 terminated abnormally: Normal and proper end of connection May 12 22:25:44.24: [13798]: RECV FAX: bin/faxrcvd "recvq/fax00010.tif" "usb_ttyACM0" "00000019" "Normal and proper end of connection" "" "" May 12 22:25:45.23: [13798]: RECV FAX: end May 12 22:25:45.23: [13798]: SESSION END I noticed several similar posts in the list archive but most the time the answer was to check the cabling. In this case I don't think that applies since it worked fine before and I haven't changes any hardware. Fortunately I mostly use it for sending (which works fine by the way) but I would like to be able to receive faxes as well. I sure would appreciate any ideas.
