Hello,

Thanks for your answer. The problem was,
that the faxgetty wasn't in the inittab.
Now, it's fully functional.

It's directory is /var/spool/fax. There are the logs too.
I found an rpm somwhere on the net. Version ~4.0 ....

p.s.: It's a little bit disturbing, that there wasn't any
logs or man/html pages to help me solve this problem.
I think a step-by-step troubleshooting guide would be
usefull for newbees like me. ;o)

Did you include the faxgetty line in inittab?

/var/spool/fax?? Wich release of hylafax are you
using?

Read above about faxgetty.

Uh? Are you sure that you are using hylafax commands
and not mgetty commands?

I guess you can find them in /var/spool/hylafax.
