Chris & Lee:
Thank you both for all of your work to get HylaFAX going well on MacOS.
Regarding the comments on Bugzilla made by Aidan about
case-sensitivity, I think that it is best if the source can be made
standard to build correctly on HFS+ filesystems. However, just to
clarify, b/c this hint was on Versiontracker.com, not on the list, I
have successfully built on MacOS without problems by using a UFS
formatted disk image. Not a good long term solution, but someone might
find it a helpful hint to avoid patching the source.
Basically, open OS X's disk utility, create a UFS disk image, say 650
MB just to be safe. Mount the drive, untar the source onto the disk
image (it is mounted by default under '/Volumes'). Then build from the
disk image.
Of the other four bugs listed above, AFAICT, the first two are not Mac
OS specific, but correct me if I am wrong. The fourth, also is a huge
help from Chris, as that was by far the hardest part of the install
under Mac OS X (adding users and the like...).
Thanks all for the progress on OS X!
Tom
