Well for command 1 I get

What I've done so far is upgrade ghostscript from 6.53 to 7.05 and it
seems to have sent the fax but I still get the error msg below.  Should
I even worry about the error since it seems to be working now?

Font com: /usr/share/gs/7.05/com: Can not open font metrics file; using
fixed widths.
request id is 34 (group id 34) for host localhost (1 file)

Did you run "faxsetup"?

Please, post:
1) output of
strings /usr/lib/libfaxutil.so.* | grep ghost
2) content of /etc/hylafax/hyla.comf
