[hylafax-users] Stops Answering Incoming Calls

Title: Stops Answering Incoming Calls

Hylafax Configuration:

Hylafax v 4.1.3 (rpm install)
Redhat 7.3
Kernel 2.4.19
External USR 56k fax Modems, ttyS0 and ttyS1 configured as Class1

My problem is as follows:

Hylafax stops answering incoming calls.  No set period of time, sometimes locks up after a couple of hours or could take a day or two.  Typically all I do is initiate a  /etc/rc.d/init.d/hylafax restart and the problem clears up for another undeterminable period of time..

Initially I had the problem with older USR 33.6 fax modems and thought it was the modems.  I replaced them with newer USR 56k fax modems. However, the problem never cleared. I started out running in Class 2.0 and with default flow control.  I have now tuned it down to Class 1 and FIFO.  The initial kernel that I was working with was 2.4.18 .  I read on the newsgroups that there may have been a problem with that kernel and it was suggested to go to 2.4.19.  Which I did, still having the same problem.  The machine is a Pentium 3 667 box with 512 MB of ram, plenty of disk space.

I have included my logs for the actual connection that caused the lock up, notice the second to last line which contains: Sep 19 18:08:34.87: [ 1932]: --> [5:ÿ^S~L^P^C], I have seen this on all of the logs that locked up the system.  I have also included the /var/log/message file, config.ttyS0 and config.ttyS1, hfaxd.conf and hyla.conf files.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
