Title: hylafax modem!

Hi,
 I have a problem about modem.
 I install hylafax latest version 4.1.2 on redhat 7.2, but there is error:
          probing for best speed to talk to modem;
          unable to deduce DTE-DCE speed;

the modem I used is made in China, the brand and manufacture is not what you recommended in the modem list.
do I must use the modem you recommended in the FAQ?
