[hylafax-users] Works perfectly but: modem on /dev/modem appears wedged

Hello list,
I got hylafax working perfectly well on a suse8 with fritzcard-classic.
The only thing getting on my nerves ist a warning the HylaFAX Receive
Agent send every minute to rootmail:

The HylaFAX software thinks that there is a problem with the modem on
device /dev/modem that needs attention; repeated attempts to initialize
the modem have failed.

Consult the server trace logs for more information on what is happening.

Well as i think, i dont use the modem at all, there was a link
/dev/modem -> /dev/ttyIO but removing this didnīt cause any change.

How can i stop hylafax sending this warning ?

How can i remove the /dev/modem device from beeing checked by hylafax ?

I appreciate any comments.

Thank you

andy
