Just from memory I think you still use /dev/modem when doing faxaddmodem.
But first create a link /dev/ttyACM0 > /dev/modem. That way faxaddmodem can 
still do its thing without worrying about all of the various devices. 
Naturally you have to work out the correct device. It used to be /dev/ttyACM0 
but may have changed.
