Yep, no solution posted so-far...At least to my knowledge (I think I have spent more time going through the mail-list archives than with my wife in the past three weeks!) Since I NEED to make my fax server work, I came up some days ago with a shell script that checks the state of the HylaFAX server and - if found "Waiting for the modem to come ready" - kills the faxgetty process. I have created a cron job to check the status of the HylaFAX server every minute. I have run the script for five days now and I can send and receive faxes ok. Though this is just a sort of tweak.
