[hylafax-users] MPS EOP and +FTS

Greetings people. I wrote to Lee about this but my
email was not good as I wanted so here is a better
description of my question.

Red Hat 7.0
HylaFAX 4.1.2
MT5600ZDX and RocketPort ISA multi-modem card

Like many of you I get sometimes the MPS EOP error,
lucky for me 99% of the cases are crap fax machines
and we talking here about many of the fax machine are
used for phone and fax. Reading the different logs the
machine presents different behaviors. The usual was
connecting at 9600 and fail. I tried 1-D MR
compression but caused even more problems. Then I
changed the values of Class1PPMWaitCmd: to AT+FTS=8,
Class1TCFWaitCmd: to AT+FTS=8 and Class1EOPWaitCmd: to
AT+FTS=10, first attempt failled but second went ok.
The funny thing is that the baud raute started at
9600, retrieved to 7200 and worked at 4800. here is

Questions:

1) What could cause that the first attempt failled
after changed the AT+FTS values but worked in the
second?

2) More strange, why the baud decreases? The costumer
his having problems with the line? He send facsimiles
to us without problems.

3) I can define AT+FTS values in etc/destctrls? Or
changing values in the config.ttyXX files don't mess
with the good fax machines?
