Dear Hylafax community, I'm going to install a fax server with an ISDN modem, so I need to buy a good one, which will give as few problems with Linux and Hylafax as possible. I throughly checked the online documentation, but didn't find any "list of recommended ISDN modems", maybe because Hylafax doesn't "officially" support ISDN modems? My questions to you experienced users are: 1) Are there any brands/models of ISDN modems ("terminal adapters"?) RECOMMENDED for use with Hylafax? 2) If any good external hardware modem will do, do I have to look for specific tags/protocols/specifications before buying it? Or is ANY external serial ISDN modem suitable for Hylafax use? Also I will need my server to answer or not the phone depending on the called number (called, not caller...) if this is relevant to choosing the right modem. Of course I searched through the mail archives before posting, but strangely enough didn't find a question like this posted before. Thanks in advance, Tobia Conforto ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@hylafax.org < /dev/null
