I'm a new HylaFAX user, and have run into problems. I'm running HylaFAX 4.1 on Slackware 8, and using the package available for download from the HylaFAX FTP server. I am unable to use faxanswer to sucessfully instruct my modem to answer an incoming fax call. I issue the command and the modem goes off-hook, issues an answer tone, then starts making the noise that comes before the data. This noise doesn't however modulate and sound like a "coffee grinder" like it should. It just starts and dies within 2 or 3 seconds. I tried using minicom: AT&F0 OK ATM1L1 OK AT+FCLASS=1 OK ATA CONNECT (3 seconds later) ERROR The modem is an AOpen, and has a Class 1 Fax Command set. Any ideas? Thanking you in advance, Michael Ellery ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To unsub: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@hylafax.org < /dev/null
