That does appear to be the problem. When I tried the file that I have
been testing, the tiffg4 version was larger. It does have several Windows
screen shots embeded in there. On a couple of other documents,
the g4 format was smaller.   Of course, the g4 being larger sort of
counteracts the explanation for my fax-fax times being less. Oh well.
