The session tracing produce verbose logs in /var/spool/fax/log/*
not to syslog.

The above messages are both normal behavior.

If the fax stays in the queue, look at
faxstat -sl
output
if the status is W you either have faxgetty misconfigured or (if you don't use
faxgetty) you forgot to run faxmodem.
