I'm not certain what DATA format is but, if you have a PCL printer, you can
create a seperate mail spool for "raw" PCL that wouldn't go through the
enscript filter on RH.  At least, with RH6.  I haven't looked at RH7 yet.

You'd then use the appropriate print spool for your files.

Or am I missing something?
