Assuming above is correct I have tried several tests with differing ModemRate
settings
(9600, 14400, 19200, 38400) and ModemFlowControl settings (rtscts, xonxoff) and
now consistently get the following regardless of what permutations I try.

I checked man config for underflow and DTE but without any answers being found.

What fixes DTE to DCE data underflows?
