[hylafax-users] RTN retrain negative still OK

here is a snippet from the logs for a fax that we did NOT receive,
but the sender believes we received:

based on the remote fax machines logs, they think that we received the
fax.
there is no fax23168.tif at our end.  that sequence number is missing.
on the remote machines logs, there is a note about "readable quality",
but then there
is an OK afterwards, leading the operator to believe we will call them
if we cannot
read the fax.  if this was happening with one fax machine only, i
wouldn't
be concerned, but it is happening with many.

ok - now for my question.  i was thinking about modifying my source so
that i returned an +FTPS=4 which indicates page bad and interrupt
requested.
i am hoping that this will indicate to the sender "bad fax".  has anyone
else
experienced the same problems with retrain and found a solution??

i am still on hylafax-v4.0pl2, but i'd upgrade to a stable version if it
fixes this
problem.  also, fyi, MODEM ZYXEL U1496E/V 6.19 P
