My guess is that you are using 'CommentX' notation.  Try using 'commentsX'
notation.  Or, better yet, get HylaFAX CVS source and patch it with the
last patch posted on:
http://bugs.hylafax.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=81

You can read up on that to have an explanation of what the problem is.
