HylaFAX The world's most advanced open source fax server |
I'm running the binary distribution of HylaFAX v4.1beta2 under SuSE Linux 6.4 with gcc 2.95.2 and libtiff 3.5.4-83. When I try to fax a document which needs to be converted (f.i. Postscript-file or tiff-file), the faxq-process establishes a child-process which converts the first page and then hangs (it also hangs after converting if I want to convert only one page). The system runs further and I may send further faxes, but the child-faxq-process finishes only, when killtime expired. The appropriate (last) line in /var/log/messages looks like this: ...FaxQueuer [####]: Job ## (.....): CONVERT DOCUMENT: bin/ps2fax .... If I run ps2fax from the commandline, everything works fine [except that I may not use ';' in filenames, cause these are misinterpreted by the shell]. If I try to fax a document which doesn't need conversion, everything works fine, too. Thanks in advance for your help Christoph. ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To unsub: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@hylafax.org < /dev/null
