Sounds like HF is never telling the *modem* that it expects it to be a faxmodem. > What can I do? Well, you probably have a modem whose description doesn't appear in any of the config templates. Check out the config file archive at http://hyla.xtremeweb.de/cgi-bin/hyla/hylaeng.pl first, and see if there's a config file there for your modem. If so, get it, put it in the Right Place, and re-run faxaddmodem.
