Good day, I'm trying to use a Taicom 56k modem for both inbound and outbound fax service. When I exec the "faxaddmodem", it return the chip manufacturer is ROCKWELL, and using a standard class 2 template. When sending fax it works fine, but i got problem when receiving. After I press the "Connect" button on the fax machine, the fax machine display "Connecting" and then display "Sending". But after a while, the fax machine return error. The error massage is "Communication Error". It seems the the fax machine hang up first and thus hylafax will be in the "RECV FAX" a few minutes. The hylafax error log is as follows: Aug 10 20:08:42.34: [ 581]: SESSION BEGIN 00000057 88635538856 Aug 10 20:08:42.34: [ 581]: <-- [4:ATA\r] Aug 10 20:09:14.14: [ 581]: --> [3:FAX] Aug 10 20:09:14.14: [ 581]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION Aug 10 20:09:14.14: [ 581]: RECV FAX: begin Aug 10 20:12:14.14: [ 581]: REMOTE HANGUP: Unspecified Receive Phase B error (code 70) Aug 10 20:12:14.14: [ 581]: RECV FAX: Unspecified Receive Phase B error Aug 10 20:12:14.14: [ 581]: RECV FAX: end Aug 10 20:12:14.14: [ 581]: SESSION END I've read the hylafax setup document, and add "Class2DDISCmd: AT+FDIS" to the config.ttyS0 file, but the problem is still the same. After I read through the mailing list,I ever doubt that it may be the tiff problem. But I'm not sure. My hylafax version is hylafax-4.1beta2-5rh6.i386.rpm and libtiff is libtiff-3.5.5-2.i386.rpm. I wonder if this will cause the libtiff problem.Could anyone tell me? If not,how does this come?? Thanks for your advisement.
